This essay does a good job of tracing the development of American identity characteristics such as freedom, ethnocentrism, and deception. The essay is well-organized and well-written. However, I would have liked to see more discussion of how these characteristics continue to shape American identity today.
Overall, the essay does a good job of highlighting the various ways in which income inequality affects Americans, both socially and economically. However, I felt that it could have gone into more detail in certain areas, specifically in terms of solutions that could help to close the income gap and reduce poverty levels. Additionally, the essay could have been more concise, and could have benefitted from being edited for grammar and clarity.
Overall, the essay does a good job of discussing different types of discrimination and possible solutions. It is well-organized and easy to read. I would give it a 4 out of 5.
Animal abandonment is a huge issue in today’s society. Millions of stray animals roam the streets with no proper food or shelter. The consequence for this is a fine that ranges from $50-500 and or imprisonment up to 30 days. However, there should be a bigger repercussion for such inhumane behavior. The abandonment of an animal should be a felony in all states with imprisonment up to 3 years. Many believe releasing an animal from their home is not a bad thing, due to the fact that they are releasing them from home unfitting for them but they do not realize that “abandoning an animal is practically the same thing as killing it”. When a pet is neglected, it’s very unlikely
In reading Carol Dweck’s book “Mindset” and taking the quizzes, I found that I have a growth mindset, but I also see that I have some remnants of a fixed mindset. I do believe that a growth mindset can be developed with effort and persistence. I also think that having a growth mindset is helpful for both personal reflection and future teaching.
Overall, I found the course to be helpful in understanding the various costing methods used in organizations. The examples used in the course material were clear and concise. The instructor was also helpful in answering any questions I had.
The essay “The Great Depression and The New Deal” by John W. Aldridge is a comprehensive and well-written overview of the events leading up to and following the Great Depression, as well as the New Deal legislation introduced by Franklin D. Roosevelt in an effort to ameliorate the economic conditions.
Aldridge does an excellent job of explaining the complex economic factors that led to the Depression, and he provides clear and concise summaries of the various New Deal programs. However, the essay is somewhat dated, and it does not reflect more recent scholarship on the topic.
Overall, this is an excellent introduction to the topic of the Great Depression and the New Deal.
Overall, the essay does a good job of discussing the importance of language in advertising. However, I feel that it could be further strengthened by providing more concrete examples. Additionally, the essay could be more concise, and could use less academic jargon.
The Causes, Effects, and Solutions of School Violence is an article written by Dwyer, K., Osher, D., & Warger, C. The article discusses the early warning signs of school violence and the imminent warning signs. The early warning signs are not a checklist against which to measure individual children and should only be used for identification and referral purposes. The imminent warning signs are a sequence of overt, serious, hostile behaviors or threats that indicate that the child is very close to behaving in a way that is potentially dangerous to himself or herself or others. The article also discusses the action that should be taken when the warning signs indicate that danger is imminent.
The author provides a good overview of the history of Japanese art leading up to the 1333, with a focus on the impact of the introduction of Buddhism on the development of art in the country. The essay is well-researched, and the author’s writing is clear and concise. One minor criticism is that the author could provide a little more information on some of the specific art forms mentioned (e.g., Yamato-e, Emakimono, etc.), but this is a minor point overall. This is a good essay that provides a concise and informative overview of the history of Japanese art.
