Team Cohesion and Hazing in Sport Essay Sample

Overall, I believe that the essay did a good job of exploring the topic of hazing in sport. I found it particularly interesting that the essay highlighted the different perspectives of athletes – from those who believe that hazing is a necessary part of the team-building process, to those who feel that they have been abused and humiliated by the hazing rituals. I also thought that it was interesting that the essay explored the idea that hazing may not be inherently bad, but that more research is needed in order to determine the true impact of hazing on team cohesion.
