Overall, I think that John was a good husband but may have not been the best physician for his wife. The narrator’s illness was most likely not curable at the time and he was just doing what he thought was best. The “Rest Cure” was the only thing that was available to him and his wife.

Moonlight is an excellent film that deals with difficult and important topics such as race, sexuality, and identity. The cinematography is beautiful and really immerses the viewer in the story. The use of contrast, color, camera angles, lighting, and slow motion create a dreamlike setting that is truly unique. The characters are well-developed and the storyline is powerful. The death penalty is an issue that has the United States quite divided. While there are many supporters of it, there is also a large amount of opposition. Currently, there are thirty-one states in which the death penalty is legal and nineteen states that have abolished it (Death Penalty Information Center, November 9th 2016). I believe the death penalty should be legal throughout the nation. There are many reasons as to why I think the death penalty should be legalized in all states, including deterrence, retribution, and morality; and because opposing arguments do not hold up, I will refute the ideas that the death penalty is unconstitutional, irrevocable mistakes are made, and that there is a disproportionality of race and income level.
