Animal abuse is a topic that is close to my heart. I have worked in animal shelters for most of my life, and have seen firsthand the terrible things people do to animals. It is heartbreaking. This essay does a good job of discussing the different types of abuse and how to stop it. I do have a few comments, however.
First, the author discusses factory farming. This is a huge issue, and I agree that it is one of the worst cases of animal abuse. However, I think it deserves its own essay. It is a complex issue, and it would be difficult to do it justice in a few paragraphs.
Second, I think the author could have gone into more detail about the different ways to
The essay argues that animal abuse is a problem that is not taken seriously enough, and that more must be done to help animals who are abused. The author provides a few examples of cases of animal abuse, and argues that laws need to be put into place to help reduce the number of cases. The essay also provides ways in which people can help to reduce the number of cases of animal abuse, such as reporting cases of abuse to the relevant authorities, and spreading awareness about the issue.
In “Why You Shouldn’t Be Politically Correct,” Anna Munsey-Kano argues that, while the goal of political correctness is good in theory, it is often ineffective in practice because it is difficult to avoid offending people. She further argues that, in order to avoid interpersonal conflict and discomfort, political correctness often causes people to avoid discussing important topics altogether. Munsey-Kano uses the example of social media to illustrate how, instead of promoting open discussion, political correctness often results in “Social Justice Warriors” who are more interested in defending causes than in actually understanding them.
In “Do You Think the Poor Are Lazy?”, Anat Shenker-Osorio argues that the poor are not lazy, but are instead largely
The essay “Guilt and The Symbolism of Hands in Macbeth” does a great job of exploring how the element of “hand” is used throughout Shakespeare’s play Macbeth to signify different aspects of the characters’ actions and emotions. The essay is well-written and provides a good analysis of how the symbolism of hands helps to develop the plot and characters. However, I felt that the essay could have been more concise, and it would have been helpful if the author had provided more specific examples to illustrate how the symbolism of hands is used. Overall, the essay provides a good overview of how the symbolism of hands is used in Macbeth, and it is a useful resource for anyone studying this play.
In Sarah Kollmorgen’s article, “Why Are Climate Change Docs So Boring? Because It Works”, the filmmaker speaks about how documentaries on climate change have been unsuccessful in persuading people to take action. She argues that it is because the films are too informative and people would rather be entertained. I believe that this is a valid point. Kollmorgen uses the example of the post-apocalyptic movie, The Day After Tomorrow, to argue that when people are entertained, they are more likely to be persuaded. Although the film was inaccurate, it managed to raise public awareness about climate change. I think that it is important for people to be aware of the issue, but it is
The essay “Problems of Children Being Abused” discusses the various types of child abuse and neglect, and the various reasons for why it continues to happen. The essay also provides statistics on the prevalence of child abuse. Unfortunately, child abuse is a common problem that affects children of all ages, races, and genders. Child abuse can have a negative impact on the victims both physically and emotionally. The victims of child abuse are more likely to become violent and interact with criminal activities.

The Federal minimum wage was first introduced in 1938 and has been raised 22 times since then. The minimum wage is currently set at $7.25 per hour. Twenty-nine states and the District of Columbia have set higher minimum wages, ranging from $7.85 in Missouri to $15.64 in Seatac, Washington. There is much controversy in the United States over the topic of the minimum wage.
Many people believe that increasing the minimum wage will help decrease the number of people living in poverty. However, an increase in minimum wage salary will actually increase the number of people living in poverty. Businesses believe that an increase in minimum wage will cause them to raise their prices on their goods and services, which will result in
