English Language Expertise in ‘Mother Tongue’ by Amy Tan Essay Sample

Overall, I found Tan’s essay to be very insightful. I think her use of ethos, pathos, and logos was very effective in proving her point that English is not a single language. I also found her discussion of her mother’s “broken” English to be very interesting and poignant.
