My Impressions from Sojourner Truth Essay Sample

Sojourner Truth was an abolitionist and activist for black freedom. She was born into slavery in 1797 and experienced many hardships throughout her life. Despite these challenges, she was able to use her faith and determination to accomplish many things that helped shape black history. Her most famous speech, Ain’t I A Woman?, focused on women’s rights, but she also briefly spoke of black rights and faith. Her speeches touched many and left them thinking. Sojourner Truth has inspired many people to continue shaping black history.
