Character of Abigail Williams in The Crucible Essay Sample

In the play “The Crucible,” Abigail Williams is one of the main characters. She is a young girl who is very deceitful, vengeful, and selfish. Abigail is motivated by her own interests, which often conflict with those of other characters. For example, she accuses Elizabeth Proctor of witchcraft in order to be with John Proctor, even though it results in the death of many innocent people. Abigail’s character is very important in driving the plot of the play.
