The story Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is about two people who fall in love despite their familie’s hatred. The theme of the story is that love and hate can make people do extreme things. One extreme reaction to love is that Friar Laurence’s plan could easily have failed. Juliet went to Friar Laurence to give her an idea so she didn’t have to marry paris or she would kill herself with a knife.
