Analysis of D-day, June 6, 1944: The Climatic Battle of World War Ii by Stephen E. Ambrose Essay Sample

Ambrose did an excellent job in providing a detailed, step-by-step account of the events that unfolded on D-Day. He was able to successfully show the readers the different points of views of the Germans, the Allies, and even the Russians. His writing style was able to keep readers engaged and wanting to know more about the battle. One thing I would have liked to see more of was pictures or maps of the battle. Ambrose did provide a few pictures, but I feel like it would have been more beneficial to see visuals of what he was talking about. Overall, the book was excellent in providing detail and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in World War II or history.
