Although living transcendentally has its benefits, such as Mr. Keating living a very simple life that focuses on his one true love, teaching, it also has its consequences, such as Neil Perry taking his life due to his father’s disapproval and Mr. Keating losing his job due to teaching the boys to think for themselves.
